Debby Lambert

Debby Lambert is a native of California and has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She worked in marketing for Jewel Companies in Chicago and for Cigna Corporation in Hartford, Connecticut before she retired to raise her 3 children.
A “professional volunteer” for the last 25 years, Debby has enjoyed volunteering in her childrens’ schools – running major fundraisers and serving in a variety of leadership capacities. She has also served on community boards wherever she has lived including Jersey Battered Women’s Services and Grace Counseling Center. In addition, she has been an advisor to the women in her sorority at Lake Forest College. Currently she is a member of the Women’s Board of Catholic Charities in Lake County and the Volunteer Advisory Council at Midwest Palliative & Hospice CareCenter.
Debby could not be as active as she would have liked in the care of her Mom when she was declining, because she lived too far away. That frustration led to a variety of roles focusing on senior services – first as a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels, then as a patient care volunteer with Midwest Palliative and Hospice CareCenter and a Minister of Care in nursing homes and homes of patients.
These experiences led to coursework in senior care and solidified her desire to look for ways to enhance the lives of the senior population. The opportunity to work with Aging Grace allows Debby to use her understanding of the needs and desires of the aging and their families and to serve them with compassion, care and dignity at whatever stage they may be in.
Debby and her husband live in Lake Forest and have 3 grown children.
